General urological diagnostics
Urological symptoms often develop gradually. Many patients therefore get used to changes in passing urine for a long time or postpone an examination. An early assessment, however, can help identify the cause and avoid complications.
Prostate cancer screening
Prostate cancer screening is based on age, family history, personal risk factors and individual wishes. It includes a medical consultation and physical examination; after you have been informed, a PSA test may also be useful.
Sexually transmitted infections
Sexually transmitted infections can cause symptoms, but they can also occur without any noticeable signs.
Depending on the possible infection and the type of contact, urine, swab or blood tests can be carried out. Advice, testing and treatment are confidential.
Second opinion and assessing the need for surgery
Patients can also come to have the need for an operation reviewed or for a urological second opinion. I explain findings and treatment options clearly and discuss with you whether watchful waiting, medication or surgery makes sense.
